Severely disappointed with the sign up process for intramurals. I bought a season A pass in hopes that I could sign up for singles tennis and racquetball this upcoming semester. The problem is the massive discrepancy between paying for the pass and signing up for sports. Even though I bought a pass, the app wouldn't let me sign up for any sports without making me pay AGAIN. The deadlines for signups were originally 09/02/2026 (the day I bought my pass). The app said it could take up to 24 hours for my pass to be registered, BUT the deadlines ended up being moved to 09/04/2026. I was not only told this by someone I called on 09/02/2026, but also by the app itself. I tried signing up for those sports AGAIN on 09/03/2026, and it still didn't work, so I physically walked into the gym on 09/04/2026 to see if i could sign up in person. What specifically annoyed me is that no one at the front desk knew how to resolve the issue; they basically just played a game of tag, saying that another person at the front desk could help until one of the four people at said front desk walked me to an office. Inside the office, I was introduced to a guy who told me his name was "Mister" (if that's h

Amin very much enjoyed his first visit to any recreational facility of any kind. While his brothers were getting a swimming lesson in, Amin appreciated the air conditioning and confusingly staring at people working out.

I only gave this place a 1 star because itβs the least amount of stars I could give. Ideally, I would give them zero stars. Iβve been here a few times to rent items at outdoor rec. The outdoor rec staff are incredible, very kind and helpful. However I decided to get a membership and the South Rec employees and specifically student managers are TERRIBLE. They are so unbelievably rude and they donβt help with anything. I felt so uncomfortable around them and like I was being judged for just existing . The lifeguards donβt even care enough to watch the pool. Donβt waste your money with the south rec gym and pool.

The actual facilities are super nice and student employees are super friendly. However, beware that if you are an alumni with a membership, they make it close to impossible to cancel your membership easily. They make you jump through lots of hoops, they say someone will call or email to assist you, but no one does and you have to be the one to continually reach out only to get someone on the phone that has no access to membership information and they tell you to call the management office. You go online to contact and there is no phone number, just another email form to fill out, where no one responds.
